A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends.
Seeds of strife are saying things that cause others to argue. Gossip is talking about other people, often saying things that may not be true.
Both of these things are bad to do. The words that come out of our mouths can cause so much hope or hurt! So, if you hear a story about other people and you don't know if it's true or not, don't keep sharing it—especially if it's a mean story. And, if you know there is something you could say that would make people fight—don't say it! Don't be a troublemaker or a gossip!
Dear Lord, Please forgive me for ways I've used my words to hurt others. Please help me to say things that will help others today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
