A wise child accepts a parent's discipline; a mocker refuses to listen to correction.
Many of the Proverbs talk to parents about disciplining their children and how important it is. But, this verse talks to the children and tells you to listen and learn when your parents teach you and discipline you.
In Hebrews 12:6, it even says that our Heavenly Father disciplines us because He loves us—so even when you're grown up, you will still be learning! The best thing is to accept it. Your parents discipline you because they love you, too. If you are foolish, you won't listen to your parents. If they suggest you change a bad way you are behaving or acting, listen up and try to change.
