Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich.
When your parents or teachers ask you to do something, you need to make a choice---you can be lazy and not do it, or you can starting working.
All of your life, there will be work to do. Even 'morning chores' like getting dressed, brushing your teeth, etc. will need to be done your whole life. But, for instance, if you're lazy and you don't take care of your teeth and brush them like you should, you may get cavities which will cost money. This is one way not working and being lazy can make you poor.
But, if you are a hard worker, and you try your best—even on those things that seem endless (like math fact sheets in school) this verse says you will get rich. Maybe your parents will see how much you've worked and will give you some money to spend at a special store or a certain book fair...
Dear Lord, please help me to be a hard worker today. Please help me not whine about work and to do my best. In Jesus' name, Amen.
